It wasn't easy trying to get the kids out of the pool. By then, our domestic helper had arrived and we enquired how the beach was like. We were given descriptions of beautiful pristine white sandy beaches. And were hooked. We bundled up everyone and headed over immediately. But alas, it was low tide, and the beach was more like a coral wreck beach. It wasn't white either. But no matter, guess what we ended up doing? The daddies tried their best to catch the little fishes that were swimming around our ankles, and the 2 little boys caught onto the craze as well. Yi Xuan spent most of the time watering the sea. After a while, they gave up as the fish were just too fast for them. Daddy then turned to disturbing all the resident hermit crabs. I think that angered them sufficiently, and a crab came out to bite us! Thankfully, it was captured in our little pail before my backside came to any damage!

We headed back to the villa all burnt, but happy. The toddlers had their lunch of macaroni and chicken, and we headed out to Sanur town to find some food for ourselves. We found a lovely little restaurant with yummy food, and the toddlers busied themselves with ice cream. Auntie Lih Miin conjured some lollipops after lunch, and we were able to relax with coffees after, while the little ones sucked away.
By then, it was about, or slightly past, 2pm. We headed back to the villa to give the toddlers their much needed nap, and our much needed rest!
Needless to say, when the kids woke, it was back in the pool for them! We swam till about 5pm before cleaning up to go Kuta for dinner. Dinner was at Poppies, and here we are, all happy and red faced from the sun (except Uncle CW who was red faced from the beer =p).
We went back home in a mini-van, and boy was it a noisy ride. It was a pity we didn't think of recording it. The toddlers knew the same nursery rhymes and songs, and they sang them at the top of their voices ALL the way home. And we're talking about a 20-25 minute ride mind you! They wanted to jump into the pool again needless to say, but the adults sure had quite enough for one day! The boys were bundled off at curfew time (9pm) and they sure didn't have any trouble falling asleep.
What a day!
