I suppose the most major thing was that Ignatius contracted conjuctivitis from school, passed it to Mommy, Ah Ma, Daddy, and re-contracted it again. And then a cold followed. All in all, the whole family was down for about 2 weeks plus. One good thing that came out of it, was that Ignatius got to experience full day childcare for 2 days. The first day was great. I was told that he had no problems being showered, though he did take some time to fall asleep. The second day though, was a disaster. He simply refused to sleep, and melted down at his grandmother's at around 6pm. Needless to say, that became grounds for NO FULL DAY. Oh well, I guess there is a time for everything, and we have no strong impetus to keep him there full day (nor not to either!). I was told that subsequently, he would try to follow the full day kids to their shower and sleeping rooms instead of going up the school bus at 1pm. I do wish I could have started him off on full day since he was mentally ready for it, but, oh well. At least peace reigns at home this way.
Oh, and he stopped his swim class. It was too painful watching money go down the drain when he's unable to go for classes due to his frequent colds and bronchitis attacks.
Daddy also tried to re-start potty training. Although he's better at telling us he's poo-ed (after the fact), he still can't say when he needs to pee and that resulted in some accidents. However, the diaper pants are great, and they contained the whole pee, and we didn't have mopping up to do! Here's a pic of him with his diaper pants peeping out.
Another event that happened was that Ignatius started having dermatitis again. The back of his hands are rough and dotted with rashes, his face is full of rashes, especially around his mouth, his earlobe has cracked again, and now his tummy had red dots. So it's back to no dairy for him. Poor boy. Just as he has gotten used to chocolates and bread and yoghurt and stuff like that. We also went over to Aunty Sandy's end of March for Jo's full month gathering. Here are som pics. The kiddos are still largely playing by themselves. And very intently at that!
So FINALLY, it was time for a break for all of us! Together with Cayden and Yi Xuan and their families, we headed to BALI! Ignatius was super excited, and kept telling everyone he's going to sit aeroplane and go BAH-LYEE! So see you next in BAH-LYEE!
