The preparation was a marked difference from our Perth trip back in Dec 06. In December, I was frantically trying to prepare as much food and things to occupy my little toddler as possible. In May, I packed 4 packets of Gummy Bears, 4 packets of biscuits, his water bottle, and we were off! Boy do we get slacker as our kids get older...
Aunty Jamie came to pick us up for the airport. Both the toddlers were exhausted as they had missed their afternoon naps. They lazed in the car, but were raring to go once we reached the airport. Ignatius was running all over the place, and unfortunately fell at the check in counter and left a big bruise on the centre of his forehead. Cayden thought we were playing Simple Simon Says and imitated Ignatius' prostrate position. It was really funny to watch!
We had a quick meal at Swenson's and then rushed to board our flight. The kiddos shared a plate of spaghetti.
On board the flight, after we pointed out our row of seats, Ignatius plonked himself on the middle seat while we had our backs turned to allow other passengers to pass by. He grinned at us cheekily when we saw him and registered our surprise. He looked mighty seasoned for a first time, non-bassinet, passenger!

We forgot to order kid's meal on board the plane, but he had no problems polishing off his fish and potatoes (adult portion!) despite just having eaten half a plate of spaghetti.
Once we landed, it was a loong, looong queue at immigration. Ignatius was still hyper (Horrors!) and kept running round and around a pillar while we queued. Thankfully, the driver from the villa was still waiting for us when we got out! The little terror fell asleep in the car.
At long last, we reached the villa, and I envisioned tucking the little exhausted mite into bed, and having a relaxing evening off. But nooooo.... he woke up, walked out of the room and saw the pool... and within 5 mins, both father and son were in! Wanna see how lovely the pool looks?
