9:01 pm - Nuggets

For the longest time, Ignatius has refused to shit into anything but his diapers. My mother in law has been bugging us to buy the traditional round potty for Ignatius, instead of the modern one we got, those that are toilet bowl shaped and has a front guard. She believes that we would see better potty training results with the traditional one.
Well, I've no idea where to get it, and my mother in law could only get the small size, which Ignatius outgrew long ago. However, Yi Xuan has one nice big red one, which she brought along to Bali. Ignatius was constipated there, and used it, but to no avail.
We got Auntie Lih Miin to buy one for him as well, and guess what? It was broken in with many many brown nuggets! Right in the middle of our dinner. But, I digress.
He had a really big dinner of hokkien mee and rice and soup, and proceeded immediately onto his grapes. We had our dinner while he ate the grapes. Suddenly, he said, backside pain. He wasn't wearing diapers, and ALL of us stopped what we were doing, and rushed for the red potty. Coincidently, cousin Jared also had to attend to nature's call in a big way at the same time, but in the adult's toilet. So, the 2 toddlers worked hard, and we were so proud when the first nugget plopped into the potty. Ignatius himself was ecstatic. "It drop down inside!" he proclaimed, and continued doing so for each nugget he dropped.
Well, it was a momentous occasion for us after the many battles we had to get him to poop in the toilet bowl. I do hope that this continues... Just like Cayden, diaper free days, here we come!
