It's the highest tree top walk in WA, and it was disappointingly short. However, our walk up there was like the duration of eternity...because Ignatius refused to sit in the stroller provided, refused to walk by himself, and wanted to be carried. However, it didn't seem safe to carry him, as he'll be above the height of the railings...What if he suddenly lunges sideways? So he bawled and bawled and bawled. We were so embarressed. Any cute lovely shy forest animals would have gone into hiding. Any birds would have flown away. There were several Hong Kong and China tourists walking on the platform as well at this point, and they kept coo-ing at him, asking him why he's crying, don't cry, be a big boy...etc. That didn't help at all. Finally, we got so tired of persuading him not to cry, we just walked along, and he chased us from behind, all through the walk. *cringe*
Here's a pic of Ah Yi and myself before the whole drama started.
After VOTG, it was time to drive back to Perth. It was a long long journey! TO fuel up, we dropped by Walpole for some lunch first. Tired of the usual Fish & Chips, I ordered a Beef Burgundy Pie to share with Ignatius. Here's a video of the lunch. Watch how he's developed a liking for tomato ketchup, and how intently he's bent on eating the fries!
After this, it was driving and more driving. Boring, so we shall skip to arriving back at home in Perth around 6pm. We made good time! Another sumptious dinner awaited us, lovingly prepared by my dad's sis. Heaven! It's good to be home.
