Well...that may very well be the case for first sentence too!
Ignatius was sitting with us for dinner. He normally eats rice while we finish our food. Near the end of the meal, Ignatius finished his rice while we were still eating. He soon realised that no food was coming his way, so he leaned over and said very indignantly and loudly, "Why no rice?"
Needless to say, all of us in the room, Daddy Mommy Gramma Uncle Ken and Aunty Lily, were stunned and there was a moment of shocked silence. We weren't sure if it was a fluke, but it sure was appropriate! Trust this little rascal's "first sentence" to be about food!

we're happy his linguistic skills are coming along fine. but we also know that his coordination/psychomotor/cognition skills are a bit laggard.
not that we mind. he'll catch up in time. =)
