11:31 pm - My Bedroom

Tonight will be long. I think.
Ignatius' first night in his own room.
We hope he gets used to it soon.

After his night feed, we turned off the lights. However, Ignatius continued to walk around the room in semi-darkness. We also made the mistake of moving his play area into his room. Hence, there were a lot of distractions.

We quite forcibly put him on his future bed and tried to pat him to sleep. He cried and we relented. I think he walked around for about another 10mins before we tried to pat him to sleep again. By this time, he was quite tired. However, he refused to fall asleep on his future bed, and Mommy ended up rocking him to sleep.

Now, he's in his cot, which we have moved into his room. I hope he doesn't wake up too many times tonight, and realise he's in a new environment, and fuss all night. *cross fingers*

hi hi!
yeah we decided to start now. Dun u find there's so many things to wean them off?...the pacifier, the co-bedroom, the milk bottle, the diapers...endless!
And they all advocate not to do all this in conjunction with major events/changes in their lives...
so we thought we'd get all these over and done with before childcare/sibling comes along.

anyway, we're taking it baby step at a time. he's in his cot still, in his own room, while we sleep in his future bed in his room tog with him. next step is to move out when he's comfy with his own room. and next step is plonk him in his own bed when he's steady enough climbing in and out of his bed. wonder how long the whole process will take!

thanks for the compliments on the blog. i'm a fan of darling kara too! can i add you in the Links?
