5:23 pm - Single parenthood

Daddy starts school this week... 4 nights of classes.

Which effectively means that Ignatius sees Daddy only before he goes to school, 4 days a week. That's not a lot ... yeah, but the crucial part is that Daddy is Ignatius' nightly fix.

Ignatius simply HAS to have Daddy read him his nightly Thomas story.

The past few nights, he's been sitting forlornly at his train tracks, staring at them, missing his nightly companion.

In bed, he asks repeatedly if Daddy will be there when the sun comes up.

And when there's the slightest noise outside the room, he'll bounce up and ask if Daddy has come back already.

In the morning, the first thing he asks when he opens his eyes is Daddy's back?

It's gonna be a long 7 months...
