9:51 pm - Hazy day!

It was really hazy today. What a bummer...especially it being a Saturday. We were all disappointed as we were going to meet the other toddlers at Pasir Ris Park for a mini belated lantern festival celebration.

We spent the morning holed up in Ignatius' room. It was a challenge for Daddy and Mommy to keep the little one occupied for a whole morning! We had breakfast in the room, brought out the paints and did some finger painting, we did some colouring, read his books...and somehow manage to last till his lunch time. By then, the haze had dissipated enough for us to come out of refuge. Thank goodness! Not only were we running out of things to do, we wanted to go Pasir Ris Park!

The mommies finally decided to push ahead with our original plans...and we set off! The north east wasn't as affected by the haze, and it looked suitably cheery for our gathering. By the time we got there, Yi Xuan, Cayden, and our latest friend Phoebe, were already there. I was kind of expecting to just let Ignatius loose, and have some free time to chat with the Mommies. However, he just wouldn't come down and walk and play. I don't know why. Even when we put him on the ground, he stuck close to us. Aunty H, Uncle Z, Qistina and Nayli came after and we sat down to have dinner. What a mess he made trying to self feed himself Nasi Lemak.

Shortly after, it got dark and Uncle CW brought out the lanterns! The toddlers were all excited by the candles, and more importantly, the fire, and crowded round. They even carried their own lanterns! It was a nice little gathering. Watching the little ones all grown up, carrying their own lanterns was a nice feeling. What a long way we've come!
